I know that is how it was like in those days. It was about the same over here (in Belgium) too.
That doesn't surprise me.
What surprises me is how "explicit" that was written down.
It's kinda scary when you read that living in todays world.
No kidding!! My wife has a Walther PPK in her purse!Seriously, I remember those attitudes, though I grew up in the early 70's. When mom started working in '77, dad was out the door in '79.
As long as I get to occasionally slap 'em on the butt, I'm content.
A sort of upbringing like described in that article (OP).
It is anti-women. It doesn't allow a woman to devellop. It doesn't give women much chances to do something greater with their lives. It deprives them of selfworth.
Don't you remember Samantha greeting Darrin at the door with a martini every evening on Bewitched?
I still can't believe that excerpt from that magazine is real.![]()
Sadly, this attitude still exists in a few places in the western world, and more than a few places in the east.

Both of 'em?Also, I wrote that post to score points with the ladies here on TB.![]()
According to the SNOPES article linked to earlier, it isn't real.
you know, joking aside, it's pretty disgusting that that was once actually presented as serious.
Its wrong for a woman to serve her husband? For all who consider yourself christian take a look at the bible..
On a lark, I sent the picture from the OP to my girlfriend (who is kind of a classic strong, independent super-bitch) in a Facebook message with the title, "A few tips."
Yeah, this should be fun. Wish me luck, gentlemen.

I wish you luck.
