Technically the description is incorrect as the adhesive will have degraded over time, so it will not stick to anything.
It is ex masking tape.

I find it a little sad that this points to the possibility that you could buy vintage Fenders and just part them out for profit to those looking for 'original parts'--hence destroying 'original' Fenders to make lots of money. Given enough time, all the vintage Fenders will be taken apart, their parts sold, and then put back together into 'original Fenders'. Then someone will buy that one and part it out as the prices go up. Collecting is weird and I guess you can make a lot of money if you're a cynical collector-market psychologist. What is needed is a mass spectrometry analysis of a sample of the tape to prove that it was ripped out of a true original--then its worth $250.
