Thoughts on GK 115lb?

Have this particular cab, but haven't been able to really use in since I've been headless for a while.

I'm starting to play smaller-medium sized gigs and looking at getting a solid set up.

Should i keep this old cab, or start fresh?

Are you talking about the 15'' with pink and blue lettering? Wow its been awhile.....I don't remember too much about that cab,(had one briefly) but I just bought a new 'GK Neo 115 III' and it rocks! I suggest if you can afford it try some new amps.... there's a slew of wonderful pickings out there. I pair my GK Neo 115 III with a Mark Bass little mark 3 and it sounds amazing to me, great for small to medium sized gigs, and two Neo 15's would just kill it!

LOL..Honestly the only thing I remember about that cab is the funky color scheme. I got it as part of a trade, long gone. Hell keep the dang thing and rock the S*@t out of it! Did you check the GK website, they do list some discontinued product manuals...maybe it's in there? Good luck!!

Yes the ol' 115B is 200w capable
I have one (really bought it for the specific pink/blue logo that is now on my second 410B (also 200w).
I did not like the 115 combined with the 410 (but did not expect to) under a 400RB .

However, on it's own, the 115B is pretty darn loud/efficient (i was using again the old 400RB). Handled the classic rock type gigs well, but the 410's gave me edge and bite up top that I prefer
I wouldn't recommend that cab with a 5 string, or for slap-style , but otherwise I say keep as a backup for now ?
Or until you settle on amp head etc.

There's two different cabs here. The 115B is the one pictured in the thread. The 115LB is a metal cab,(must be the best cab for METAL) ported in the 4 corners and the lettering is a hair more subtle.

I just picked up one from a pawn shop for $30 and it appeared to be a decent cab with the marginal head at the store I tested it with. Gonna throw the Music Man head at it tomorrow and see how she rolls.
