Well it could depend on the entire band and the member's overall direction and expectations. Let's say If 3 of the 4 members are cool with the singer not taking a gig due to a commitment but the bassist is ticked off? They could be replacing the bass player..
Just like that? A Craigslist ad and you'll find an immediate suitable replacement?

Soon to be 50. I have no issue with Blue wanting to gig his @ss off in fact more power to him. Our drummer has the most "Free" time in the band and I know he would tour if we could. If he raised his hackles about the other members commitments and refusing to be able to walk away and tour etc...we would replace him. That would be tough to do since he is a friend and fits. You have to know you limits, be realilistic or deal.
