Thoughts on this pedal order...

Sorting out my pedal order, and before I start all of the fine tuning of the tone and tieing off cables, I was curious as to any thoughts on this specific order:

• Bass ->
• MarkBass Compressore ->
• Boss ODB-3 Overdrive [May also put either a Big Muff or Blowtorch in this slot] ->
• Zoom B2 [Using this ONLY for pitch shift, all other modules are off] ->
• Boss GEB-7 EQ ->
• MXR Carbon Copy Delay ->
• Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus ->
• SansAmp BDDI ->
• Amp or PA

There's really no direct "yes, this will work," or "that's not the best way." If it sounds good to you, then it is good! That said, the pitch shifter may have a tough time tracking the overdriven signal, and I personally like a compressor last so I can mess with the OD more and be more dynamic with the tone. That's just me, though.

The Sansamp DDI makes the overdrive and EQ pedals a bit redundant does it not?

I'd say that's close to what i'd probably do as long as your sansamp is used as a tone shaper rather than overdrive

Maybe. I think the OD properties of the Sansamp are weak, and I don't like them. However, I do like it for tone shaping and everything else - it's a great, versatile pedal outside of the OD features. As such, I'm actually looking for a good, old school sounding OD right.

I prefer distortion after pitch shifters as they tend to alter tone a lot. Experiment with stuff, but do what feels good.
