I just stripped one of the saddle screws on my P bass. It's a MIM body so it's top-load. I was thinking of putting a new bridge on anyway, so this forces me. Anyway, I'm looking into threaded saddles. On my USA Standard p, there are three or four grooves on each saddle, but they are deep grooves, I'm worried that if I buy a regular 5-hole top load Fender bridge (ala HWY One) my heavier gauge strings with jump amongst the threads as I play. Thoughts? Anyone had this problem, or even better, didn't have this problem with their threaded bridge?
