Jack Ryland played with "the dogs" alot after Joe Schermie

I will occasionally hear Three Dog Night on the a.m. commute(Oldies station)...yes, that rhythm section, IMO, plays very, very well together.
One of my favourites is the verse section to "Out In The Country"(a total of, what, 3 notes?). Schermie gets a little nutz on "One Man Band".
...didn't realize he had passed on.

Was Harmony Ryland's first with the band? Nice work on "Family Of Man", "Black & White", etc.
  6. I believe Jack Ryland first played on the "Cyan" album.

I think that Joe played a Jazz on Around the World with Three Dog Night. No pickguard and IIRC, a Troll on the headstock.

I'll have to put the vinyl on tonight!!!!

i loved three dog night- i recently borrowed a greatest hits cd and i agree, the bassist was way ahead of his time, very solid and at times very funky... too bad he passed :(
