Through The Body Strings

I have a Schecter Research Raiden Special 5, I want to change the strings and there through the body, can I get away with Long or do I need XL or Super Long strings for this change..

Just get DR Strings. Done. No long scale/super long/extra long nonsense. They just fit.

So any DR Brand strings a pack of 5 will fit, Its just up to me what style strings I want..Is that right..

As long as you don't get taper core strings, yes. In fact, you should avoid taper core strings in general if you're stringing through the body.

If you want to use D'Addario, be safe and get the Super Long scale. Since your bass is 35" scale and you're stringing through the body, the XLs might not be long enough (they are meant to fit up to a 36.5" scale, top loaded).

I'm actually looking at the D'Addario ENR71-5SL Strings
I was going to buy them from Jason here on the site..

Jason will steer you right...he has the actual string lengths of the XL and the Super Long strings so you measure your existing strings and get the right set.

But yes, any normal DR's will fit...and sound better than D'Addarios

They certainly feel better than D'Addarios, especially Sunbeams...but they should considering they cost twice as much.

Well I appreciate your opinion but the deal is that I have D'Addiaros ENR72's On my T-Bird Pro and I fell in love all over again with this bass, I cant put it down, I love these strings, especially on this bass so I want to try them on the 5er. and although I appreciate the fact that you like DR's Im actually the one playing the bass.. and there is no trouble fitting strings to my 5er, there in stock and reasonably priced..

I just realized these are the half-rounds...which are very cool. And FWIW there's no DR equivalent.

definitely get super-long d'addarios for any string-through bass. ernie balls will just reach, but regular long d'adds will not.
