You know hrodbert696 it really could have been the very early 80's come to think of it like 80 or 81 at the latest.

At a local night club called the Golden Ram, 77-78. We had a Thur, Fri, Sat residency for about a year.
Did you make the Women jealous because your band has better hair then they did?
I don't know if they were jealous of the hair but they sure loved it
We may have just been a local band but the girls flocked to us like we were rock stars. The 70s was a great time to be single and gigging 
The exact same thing happened to me in July 1975, except we didn't get in the paper. Five bands evicted at once. All cool people. Everybody had their storage unit rehearsal spaces setup with sofas, etc. Never any problems except we were loud, had long hair and smoked pot. Fun for the year it lasted though.
Back in post #2 of this thread I had some pics of me in the mid 70s.
At the bottom was my son in 1982 at age three holding my bass. I just found these pics of him from 1995. He's the tall guy in the blue shirt playing the black Jazz.
He's now my lead guitar player (on the left). Here's a recent pic of Dad and son having fun.

Pappy and Harriet's? I used to play there when Harriet still owned it. It's a very cool gig and the food is great.
