Thump thump

Howdy, kinda semi-new bassist here. I actually started on bass in 2007, but quickly moved to guitar. I've dabbled off and on with bass over the years, but never dove into it very deeply. I recently started jamming with some friends using an Ibanez Mikro bass I borrowed from them and found myself having far more fun than I ever had jamming on guitar. After doing a little bartering on Facebook and craigslist, I got myself an Ibanez SR500 and I'm on a roll.

However, being that I come from a lead-focused guitar background, my approach to the instrument is probably pretty typical for guitarists that move to bass, but I like volume, I like overdrive, and I like using a pick. I know, I'm a criminal. Anyway, I'm having fun with this new direction!
