Thumping subs

I have all my wires ran to my amp. I cant seem to figure out why when i hook up my remote wire to my amp the subs start pulsing in a thumping manner. I have tried to replace all the wires for my remote and it still does it. It only does it with my remote wire plugged into my amp. Any advice would be helpful

OK, I'm going to give this a shot. (Pandemic boredom :))

Let's try to narrow it down some: is this a bass guitar amp? If so, what brand and model is it specifically? In using the term 'remote', are you referring to a wired remote foot-switch? And by 'subs', are you referring to the low-frequency speaker(s) in multi-speaker system? Or, are you maybe using the term to refer to your bass amp's speakers in general?

I guess that's enough to get started on; more questions may arise after these are answered.

Well, of course it happens when your remote's hooked up. That's what turns your amp on. Turn down the gain. Are you running it low input or high input? Check your wires, you've most likely got a hot running to an input. That would put current to your output, making your speakers pulse.

And, come on! Nobody else here hooks up their car stereos themselves?
