I like white with black but like white with chrome better. My White 'Birds:

1964 Thunderbird IV, restored by Baz Cooper. Completely period correct and unbroken.
P1040957.jpg

BaCh NR First Series, thin body, belly cut...I repainted the headstock, made a 'bird decal for the modded p/g, made replica finger rest and trussrod cover, moved strap button to correct position and filled horn hole. Original '67 Thunderbird pick up, CTS, Switchcraft, correct knobs.

Seeing all of these really makes me want my one to be finished more.
Body is made and sanded ready for spraying, pickups are made, neck is ready. It just needs spraying and assembling and It's all ready. Just a shame that paying customers come first and they already have a backlog.

Can I have a number please?

Hey guys, just wanted to share the bassist's customizations to his weapon of choice of a famous band here in Colombia

Here's a video from Jaime playing a solo with it :bassist:

That is a beautiful custom paint job, and definitely sounds like a Thunderbird in that video! Thanks for sharing.

BTW - I love your tagline. I did a similar thing - stopped playing bass for about 12 years in the late 80's and took it back up in the late 90's. I've never looked back, and I find myself playing more and more as time goes on. Glad you made the return, and with the Thunderbird!

Glad you like it :)

It's not but everybody but I like it too, he mostly plays t-birds over other type of basses, of course his band's epiphone/gibson endorsement helps hahaha

yup that's how my story goes: went from bass to drums to nothing, had been playing guitar this past year but I never got to feel comfy with it so I decided to return to my original instrument which I first picked up back in 1998 :bassist:

as far as why going for a thunder, I took advantage of a 20% off promotion the store was offering to return with a quality bass and not an entry level cheap squier p-bass that I would surely be wanting to sell a year later

Some shameless self promotion from this past week's Halloween show - we're playing to about 2000 people.
A little love for our guitarist Rachael, knocking down a great solo during "Hit me with your best shot" - I love hearing the crowd sing along!
The Nasty Habits - Hit Me With Your Best Shot.MOV - YouTube

And our version of Cindi Lauper's "She Bop", this was only my second show using my Line 6 G-30 wireless, I'm very impressed with as it doesn't change my tone at all

Very nice. I just snagged one of those in black on evilBay and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Plus that '64 ain't bad either. :p

Nice Carlo. :bassist:
It's great to see all those BaCHbirds getting all the TLC they deserve!

That was the whole idea behind my initiative, years ago when I started the project with BaCH; Offer an affordable classic that can be personalised/upgraded at will.

Here's another upgraded BaCHbird:
The BB DLX. With Chi-Sonics, new pots, new wiring, custom pickguard and Gotoh Res-O-Lites.

Damn... you guys with the white birds are killing me.
Major G.A.S. pains goin on...pass me some tums please :)

It seems nearly impossible to locate one of these...
All I can find for sale are the Traditional burst birds...
Which I do not want.
I JUST missed out on a beautiful "Natural burst" that sold on feebay a few days ago...
But REALLY want a white one anyway.
