I just got to play a 70s Greco T Bird, NICE bass! PU is very clear, punchy, and deep. Set neck, single PU version. VERY cool!

So, it looked like this?

If it's for sale, buy it! Those basses RAWR like no other.

Rob,

First, as Thunderbird II's they are rare so if you have the chance I'd jump on it. I paid 650.00 plus shipping from a Japanese Ebayer about four years ago. For that kind of $$$ it's a fantastic Thunderbird.

I'd like to submit myself for consideration to join the club...

A 2003 Epiphone Thunderbird that I foolishly modified to be an 8-string, then had to reduce to a 6-string because I didn't consider the fact that the neck couldn't handle the pull.

A Washburn 8-string that may or may not qualify... haha

Well there's no hazing or anything like that to join :)

And Clammy #94 with the Nikki Sixx Mk.I Blackbird, Nice!

Mk.1 ? Hmmm... I didn't know there were different versions. Can you fill me in?

While I am a fan of Nikki's and Motley Crue from back in the day, the reason I bought the Blackbird was because I'd always wanted a T-Bird, and this one just spoke to me. It looks awesome, plays like butter, and sounds like a ton of bricks. :D The no controls other than on/off switch makes sense to me as well. It actually inspired me when I was spec'ing ut my custom Moser Arachnid Ultra. It only has a master on/off switch. The rest of the controls are for the booster cisrcuit and a series/parallel switch for the pickup.

Cheers!
