Todd, I hope you won't mind that I've brought your post forword to the new thread, really glad you like the BaCH Thunderbird!

NOT "Filled in the bass position for my high school's jazz band performance this afternoon. I used my BaCH Thunderbird that I bought from TBird1958 about a week ago. Strung it up with a set of Nikki Sixx Dean Marley strings, and get a killer sound out of it. Recieved many compliments on it's tone and look from the audience. Couldn't be happier with it!"

This bass was worth every penny spent! The musicians amongst me were in awe before I even plugged in. The BaCHbird oozes coolness. And the Lull pickup is incredible!

How I have a feeling I know the answer to this, but where did you get those chrome covers? Did you just have them made?

Diligence on ebay.........They were pretty spendy too. Chrome is an expensive love affair! At the time the two cost me $250.00.

Definately in Mott's heyday, who else would play an "H" shaped guitar.

do you think you'll modify this one as well? when are you making a thread about the goth model you did modify gun metal grey, in the works? i'd really love to see the process of how it became.

Half of the rig with the now departed Traynor YBA 200-2, it went off to pay for a new Gallien Krueger 700RBII, which after it arrives will take the place of my 1001RBII. Meantine, there's my white '89 and the 8 string Non Reverse.

I have a Dimarzio Model 1 that I plan on installing in the first p/u position. Then I will move the jack to the end of the body and put a mini toggle (for the Mod. 1) in the current input hole. Thats the only mods I am planning for it.

Still haven't started a thread about the Goth that I rebuilt. I have been traveling a lot for work so I haven't had a lot of free time. My work project is almost finished so I will start a thread soon.

BTW, I am in the market for a Gibson BlackBird (Nikki Sixx) model. If anyone has one that they are considering selling, please let me know.

This was my 2nd ever bass I bought it new in 1967. my first was an Echo violin scroll headstock. nasty bass.
