Mr. Way gets plenty of screen time, seem that a Thunderbird is the cure for the "unnoticed" bassist.
I haven't heard that tune for ages.

That’s my understanding as well. I could be wrong, but I don’t think the middle (max bow of the truss) is the 12th fret, might be up around the 10th fret IIRC. If the plan is to shave the neck, I guess you could use the smallest diameter drill bit you can find and carefully drill a witness hole in the back of the neck near the max bow of the truss to gauge the truss depth. When you refinish the neck you can seal the hole and no one will ever know it was there. Just a thought, I’ve never actually reshaped a neck before. That’s a dual action. AFAIK Gibson still uses a single action truss rod. It sits in a curved channel in the neck. The low point is in the middle.
Pssst. Missing one string...
The stereo jack is to allow the (mono) cable to act as a switch for the electronics.

as in on/off ?

Never apologize for a LOTR reference!Shoes from one of “the 9”?
Sorry LOTR reference
People notice Thunderbirds. And the upright. Other bass guitars? Not the same.
No, let's try to.It was the '70s, all the "Cool Kids" were doing it. It never really helped me as I was an awkward, hopeless dork, and let's not forget acne.
While on the topic of strings, my beloved EBCFs are showing their age. After reading some of y'all's positive reports on SITs, I've ordered a set of 50-105s(flats, of course). Should be here soon.@PillO String option.

I bet these would sound good. Not sure how that works in getting them to Canada.
I've got a set of nickels and Power Steels in carts I keep pondering.
Like this?Hmmmm......nope, pretty sure mine has all five
Yes, I was more trying to point out that it was not a barrel jack.....![]()
If your fingers feel better after removing them, you can join the princess fingers club. Amoungst the benefits, you get a 5 minute phone call from Kylie Minogue on your birthday* and your attractiveness to the opposite sex increases 2 points**. But the biggest benefit is that you are no longer playing EBCFs.While on the topic of strings, my beloved EBCFs are showing their age. You have bored your best friend to sleep. But he/she's hanging in there with you anyway!
Can't wait for your thoughts on them. One of the few I've not tried at some point. While on the topic of strings, my beloved EBCFs are showing their age. After reading some of y'all's positive reports on SITs, I've ordered a set of 50-105s(flats, of course). Should be here soon.

* Subject to Kylie's availability, remembering that it is your birthday, knowing your phone number, actually caring that it is your birthday, and the Princess Fingers club ability to make the arrangements.
** 2 points on the Princess Fingers club proprietary 223 point attractiveness scale.

So you're saying the NR just has extra junk in the trunk and the trussrod is the same depth as the Reverse? Will you buy me a new one if somehow it does differ and a luthier hits it and ruins it?
Excited to hear your impressions. I thought their flats only came in 45-105, though. While on the topic of strings, my beloved EBCFs are showing their age. After reading some of y'all's positive reports on SITs, I've ordered a set of 50-105s(flats, of course). Should be here soon.

Mine didn't. Not that attention was why I played either one. I never really bonded completely with the Ric like I do with Thunderbirds.Rickenbacker gets as much attention as the T-Bird.
