Funny you should say that. I almost added when "dancing" with me future wife we just slow "danced." (Which is really looks more like two drunks holding each other up.) Anyway, I latched on and held tight for the slow ride-- leaning and scooting as she did but never letting go. So whatever is is we were doing it looked like we were at least doing the same thing.Yeah, because "I told you so!" always gets women interested in you...
Better strategy; no matter what song is playing, pull her close and slow dance. It may also end spectacularly poorly, but at least there is a small chance of success...
OK, that was clearly a question. Yes (and Yes). Just be very good at it. No one likes a poor self enabler. Makes being redundant look good. You didn't see a question mark did you? The black VP will be the next on the list, but still need to do some freshening up on the CP I just got. Can you be a self enabler or is that redundant?

Clearly S.O. doesn't mean Sober Other....A reference of which I'm unfamiliar.
Went OK tonight-mostly. At least until the sax man's S.O. got loaded and fell on the dance floor. At which point he packed up and left. Luckily(A)she wasn't hurt, and(2), we only had 15 minutes to go.
It would have to be. Those suckers are huge on VPs. For some (Gibson) reason.
Love those Ebony VPs! A lot of different strings sound really good on those. The stock round wound strings on mine had a fantastic growl, Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats sounded great as well and I now have Fender 7150’s nickel rounds and am very pleased with them too. Enjoy your new bass. IMHO the VP is the best bang for the buck in new basses under $1000.
The other option is "OK, I'll dance, however I only do modern interpretive dance"... You will be a spectacle (if you are doing it right). That may or may not help.Funny you should say that. We never "danced" again as far as I know. Meaning I was successful in proving my point that I can't dance. She actually took a modern dance in college (because it was needed for a productive life). Also took golf. That's really proven useful as well. I'm thinking a more practical electives might prove more helpful than basically camp for college kids.
(Apparently from a cousin's DNA study I have a slight bit of non-caucasian makeup. Clearly not enough to help with dancing.)
Aren't you in enough trouble already without sending knob pictures around??
any idea what this is? unidentified tbird shaped object that i was just outbid on. it is a medium scale, set neck. lots of the details dont match any of the known ones im familiar with.
looks like a 3 piece mohogany body. no routing around the headstock edge, different pickups, control cavity shape.
i really like medium scale basses, and it looked nice so i bid on it but was beat out at the last second.
Uhh, no. I hadn't noticed how much she was 'putting away'. I barely know her.Clearly S.O. doesn't mean Sober Other....
I thought those only came in black. Re-finish maybe? It looks a bit like one of the short-scale Thunderbirds made a few years ago, but I've only seen one, so not sure of the details.....

Greco?just looked up pics of the gibson short scale. no match. they didnt have the raised center block, and have a different, skinnier headstock more like the studio.
description said gibson truss rod cover was added. i dont think its a gibson at all.
This isn't the first time you've given "good" advice, is it?The other option is "OK, I'll dance, however I only do modern interpretive dance"... You will be a spectacle (if you are doing it right). That may or may not help.
Modern interpretive dance is also a great way to embarrass teenage children.

Everyone knows I'm a VP fanboy...but it's for good reason. This side of several thousands of pesos (dollars are questionable at this point), VPs are as close to a '60s Thunderbird as you can get. The weakness in my opinion is that they can lack some of the bigness or bottom of the '60s. But amps have knobs and strings with a lot of lows do the trick for me. Boomers are great, Rotos, Dean Markley Blue Steels, EB Cobalt flats also sound really good for my purposes of big, fat and punchy with some clarity but not clank.I was pleasantly surprised by the sound of the stock strings on the VP, the ones that came with the Jack Cassady were terrible. I have Roto 66 Swing Bass Nickles on my P Bass and love those. May give those a go.
