Thunderbird Club

Nice to see a bassist center stage even if swinging an FSO.

Well, I might have to miss the July 4th Get Together, my car done got totaled, guy pulled into an intersection in front of me and then took off.

But, plus side, looks like I'll be joining the Subaru gang, so I can take bird pics in front of one, too!
Dang! You OK?

As bad as the whole situation is, at least you came out of it relatively unscathed and appear to be in good enough spirits to post here and start searching for a replacement vehicle. Could have been much much worse. Wishing you the best on any financial as well as medical recovery necessary. Keep rockin!

Anybody know what the necks are like on these? Thinking about buying it for the neck.

Don’t know anything about those necks, but that particular one looks to be in dire need of some fretboard oil.

Lizzy's legendary Sydney gig reissued with a better pic and sound, remixed from a multitrack tapes. Lynott's bass sounds huge.
He has an Acoustic 370/301 rig and a Marshall amp and big cab but also what it seems to be an Ampeg Flip-Top cab mic'ed and the amp on top of the Acoustic rig. I wonder if he used it only to get a sound for the PA and to tape?

Thanks! BTW that’s a top spot for a concert

Yep, I've been reading about the head gasket being a sore spot on the 2.5, will definitely check that on any I'm looking at.

Mine is a 2006, about 91K on it when I bought from my SIL, who took very good care of it. It showed no signs of needing the head gaskets changed at that point, but within a year it did. If they haven't be fixed I would flog the seller down at least 2K on price, it'll cost that much. Once done, they become pretty stout, at 155K now, the timing belt and front half shafts are about that I've done - those are more like running repair. They're really good for haul gear and when you move back to Washington you'' find it to be a great car for rain and it's unmatched in snow.

They LOVE Thunderbirds too!

The headstock seems to be butchered as well. I’ll pass on this particular one, but I’m going to keep an eye out.
