Thunderbird Club

2014 MF Stupid deal of the day. $399. I love a Tele headstock. Humbuckers and Faux Badass Bridge.
I like it. That second gen pbass is my third fav body shape after the thunderbird and NR.
Doesn't have the old headstock...but the rest of it is amazing.

Don't forget that covid has wreaked havoc with supply chains, from raw materials to manufactured components, as well as workers and wages. While there are greedy scumbac companies raking it in (looking at you, oil industry), lots of others are just playing the cards they're dealt.
There's a little more to it than that. My wife worked for big oil until retirement and my mother's uncle owned an oil company before merging it with Ashland. (He even wrote a book on how the gov makes things far worse.) During WWII FRD made him one of the five regional heads over the national supply, so he was not fool. I assure you there's more to it than the talking points. I've seen the blame the oil companies game played countless times while having some knowledge of the other side. The one few know or understand. Easy target because people doing it and liking it have no clue how it works and it feeds an anger. It's not as simple as looking at raw income (often called "profit") numbers. Do they do stupid things? Yep. I could mention a lot. But not to blame on this one by a long shot. Way too many other factors involved.

Quiz: What sector had increased its costs more than any other?

Big higher education. By hundreds of percent since the 1970s. Same is true for K-12. And we have less to show for it. Hospitals may be close.

I am going to go ahead and posit that X-ray tubes although related are a wholly different beast. And probably a much safer source of X-rays than the alternatives. I will go on to add that photo-multiplier tubes are also related but wholly different.
Fun with vacuum and electrons. Add a target and an end or side window and you can expose yourself. :wideyed:

Yes.
Yes.
Mostly yes! Then there are some who do the best thinking they can...

It's imperfect, but a good system. Reminds me of Churchill's quote about governance:
“Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others.”
(It's lost on most educated here that we are not a democracy, or "mobocracy" as the founders called it.)
The US is not a democracy, it is democratic republic...
