I own two Rickenbackers and a T-bird, as well as a Peavey that started out as a P-bass clone and is now a 4000 clone (replaced the P pickup with a RIC bridge position high gain pickup). If there was room for more basses, a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar might find a spot, but only after an EB-3 ... and another couple of Birds. Most of my favourite players play Bumpers, but I'm still going to take every opportunity to resist the the iron law of TB that you *must* play one (or a clone thereof).
Some of my favorite players do play Fenders, but the Rickenbacker and T-bird are way more "me."
