I've never heard anyone mention any faults with the Epiphone classic, if I'm anal about it the the finish is poly not nitro and the tuners aren't quite the same quality as the Grovers on a Gibson but they work fine and stay in tune. But that's it and I am being anal about that because there is nothing wrong with either, the classic is every bit as good as my Gibson and you'd be hard pressed to tell them apart. Biggest bargin in bassin

Have to disagree, the blue version has to have that crown, actually thinking about it, maybe the red one, then maybe the silver one... W T F, is there anything to choose between them? If I wasn't such an old fart I'd have one tomorrow

[update] The way TB works with with IOS is less than ideal - my text got eaten while I was adding the youchoobz.

I think the red and blue are relatively tasteful and that it's the silver and gold that turn the trash up to 12. YMMV.

Don't have anything against JJ Cale...

I don't listen to him at all, but grew up with some of his stuff as my dad was a big fan and had several of his records.

Those records are now in a big box in my basement - So I guess you can say, I got a lot of his records... ;)

A couple of quick voice lessons and that Heatball guy could be in a Doors Tribute band.
As for the Italia basses - that's even too much bling for me. I bet Liberace would have wanted one though. ;)
