I wasn't completely done with the green '76, I have just purchased the natural '77 from Mike Lull, it became the purple one soon after.

Chromitis hasn't set in too severely yet either!

But you did have a gold Camaro. That counts for something.

and of course the irony is that it is all at 12:00, ie gain = unity, tilt eq = flat and threshold set for the right amount of fat & shiny without killing dynamics

Smoke pots and lots of lighting while on top of 1940 GMC 6x6.

O.K., this is nowhere near as cool as our Queen's pics. But in the spirit of our holiday merriment, I jumped into Mr. Peabody's Wayback machine and time warped back to my first band. This is the 23 y.o. me at a bar gig back in 1986.

I am rocking my turd-colored 70s 7ender P-bass and being a poor man's Mick Blood (Lime Spiders), in belting out a bitch'n cover of "Slave Girl" (almost a decade before the Goo Goo Dolls covered it). And for the record, the faux fur tiger striped strap was an intentional goof.

A complete lack of stage presence - we were "shoe gazing" long before grunge made it cool.

As part of the 12 `birds of Xmas, I will contribute this one. In my misspent youth, I had one of these, so I suppose I have a long history of Thunderbird ownership. This one isn't mine, but mine was the same colour.

My parents drove, in succession, two T-birds when I was growing up. A grey 85, and then a blue 95.

Thanks for catching that, @Kat! Please keep in mind that this was many many beers, uh I mean years, ago. We had lots of love for some Aussie bands. We did some Hoodoo Gurus covers too (who I went to see a couple of years back, when they came to DC).

Now I think that it is only fitting for you to bust out some of that vintage 80s footage that you recently mentioned.

Loving the cat pictures, I like cats, we don't have one but my mum does, a stray that adopted her eight years ago. I've kept fish for years, tropical freshwater and marine, we had to get rid of the marine a couple of months ago because of the lack of time to look after it but we still have the little fresh water.

Sadly the cover isn't the original but the vinyl inside is, bought by my wife in 1966 while she was teaching in Liverpool
