Thunderbird Club

@Stevis Well you can't say you weren't warned.

You playing the Ric? I suspect there are a number of us who played Rics at one time or another. I had one for a while before figuring out that Thunderbirds had chosen me and that playing a Ric was trying to cheat fate. I liked the Ric well enough, but I play Thunderbirds. It's just how it is. You may be the same.

Ok, pictures or it doesn't exist. The pile of cases. And proof that relative to most Bird people, I'm completely boring. Five burst 'Birds. The one with pixie dust is next to the 2015.

The picture on the wall is El Greco's Adoration of the Bass Guitar. Just to make sure the appropriate spiritual them gets kept, and with a name like El Greco, how could he be anything but properly understanding of the true fact that bass is the reason humans continue to reproduce and exist?

That was my Ric copy (couldn't find an actual Ric I liked for years) with custom built full stereo amp and Altec 15s ... I was a pain in the quoit. I grew out of that that scooped tone as well. Tastes change.

And one more 'Bird in progress. The P-Bird project. Neck and body from Lowe Custom Guitars. Assembly and finish by nobody yet. The Telebird project is in the shop part of the basement, waiting for me to prep the body for finishes. There might be a theme here - lack of completion.

And yeah, I do play the drum kit you see in the background as well as the upright and guitars you see in the background of the picture with cases. I can suck at a lot of things.

That was my Mom's car, we bought it new in '73

Jackie, our singer owns it now, it's pretty nicely restored - we did a shoot with too.

I have a '68 convertible that I got in 1980. Unfortunately, it's motor isn't completely bolted in yet. The pattern of incompletion continues.

Limited internet access yesterday and today - So I'll be posting two Christmas 'birds at once...

The 4th day of Christmas: My Limited Edition Epiphone Ebony Thunderbird:

Day 4.jpg

Sorry for the crappy picture (it wasn't home for the photoshoot)...

The 5th day of Christmas: My Limited Edition Epiphone Metallic Red Thunderbird:

Love it! Looks like you've got a Bird sanctuary in your house. Tell us more about that blue NR in the far right front row of the top pic. The body looks slightly smaller than the Blue Bird next to it.
That is Gibsons 2013 Nonreverse , I consulted on these, they didn't listen to a word I said.

Nice collection - But aren't you missing some? ;)

What about that nice Cardinal Red Gibson NR you posted on the Gibson Club thread 3 days ago...?
Yes the Cardinal Red is missing and the charcoal frost refin. Also My two Epi Classic Pros .
