Great lunch! What is it? Gibson or Epiphone? What are the pickups? The woes of working next to my local Music-Go-Round I walk in for lunch and this followed me back to the office! This bass KILLS! That was an expensive but fun lunch! View attachment 4822861
Epiphone vintage pro.. Stock thunderbucker pups .. I love this thing..Great lunch! What is it? Gibson or Epiphone? What are the pickups?
I believe Rotosound do make a 45 65 85 105 set, but stores here (at least) only stock the set with the 80 A.I love the RS66 as well. One thing I always wondered that maybe you can answer. Why is the A string an 80 and not 85?
My wife’s maiden name was also the same as mine, but we’re not related. (Her dad checked)My family tree went full circle.
My wife’s maiden name is the same as her married name. Turns out we are related but you have to go back almost 300 years to find it. Her side of the family stayed in the UK and mine moved to America around the 1750’s. We reconnected the genes in 1984 (in Kentucky of all places). Good news is, none of our kids has a third arm or plays a banjo, so I guess we were beyond the kissin cousins fork.![]()
Sorry, but that would be a Classic Pro, then. I guess the previous owner put Thunderbuckers in and chromed it out. Nice score!Epiphone vintage pro.. Stock thunderbucker pups .. I love this thing..
They do, but it's not the "standard" set. Still curious.I believe Rotosound do make a 45 65 85 105 set, but stores here (at least) only stock the set with the 80 A.
no NR…doesn’t count….
I was really hoping you wouldn't see that and post The Peavey rig! It just causes Peavey envy!

Thanks, Jeff. I love it.Tasty!
You got the looks, right?
Thus has been bugging me. I'm not as sharp as usual been sick all week. The standard gauge Rotosound RS66LD set has a 85 A string, the standard gauge is the set specified by Entwistle. What set has a 80 gauge A string?I love the RS66 as well. One thing I always wondered that maybe you can answer. Why is the A string an 80 and not 85?
rehearsal studio, bout 15 minutes away…Wait just a dog gone minute here.
