Thunderbird Club

Some have gone since this picture was taken - replaced by a few more, A new group shot is a goal for next Spring I guess. I don't have the 8 string anymore but know where it is and have a long game to get it back. The biggest change was getting a '64 II.........

way too cool!
a few more days in this thread and i'll be buying another t-bird!

The Dude Pit was hilarious! At least the Gibson part of it was.
BaCH is a set neck bass, there were 3 small groups of them made all similar but with some variations in them. At onne point I had two........( I'll kick myself in the ass later for selling them)

What year was the re-fin'd sea-foam green one? Is it a Greco?

Just messing around with a new TRC for my black VP
Extra points for anyone that can identify the sticker.
Hint..upper North West folks might have a better shot at recognizing the skeleton dude.
Cheers!

I can't believe no one's chimed in on this, unless I've missed it. Rogue Dead Guy?

Of the four, three have a bridge I've never noticed before. Are those stock?

Mine had that three point one like on the cream bass. I still remember when I changed strings for the first time and it gell off. I was so bummed until I realised.

Do you refer to the ones on the other three basses as the three point because I thought the cream bridge was called a three point.
The first two L to R are Epi Vintage Pros. (Best Thunderbird from Gibson/Epi since the 60s.) That is often called the claw bridge and is what the 60s Thunderbirds and Epi Embassy's had. Only the white '76 has what is called a 3-Point.

'64 Epi Embassy. Basically a different shaped set-neck Thunderbird. Same neck profile, hardware and pickups.

'64, '06 (which came with a 3-point) Currently has La Bella Black tapes.

Cheers for that. I must have seen hundreds of thunderbirds and played quite a few including the awesome epiphone neck thru and I never noticed the claw bridge.
