Thunderbird Club

Hey jd56hawk, Bought it off ebay used from a music store , The guy there said he put a new set on it . I'm gonna call to see what they are . I just put boomers on my old 79 Ibanez but Roto 66 is my fave , thats what the bird will get next. 45-105
Well, used is good since the price for new these days is $100 higher than when I bought mine.
And you got the case, too.
I used to check the Guitar Center by me constantly, online and in person, hoping to see a Pro IV. Finally, I simply ordered one from them five days before Gibson raised the price from $399 to $499. Of course, two or three weeks later when I went in to buy a few odds and ends, I saw a used Pro IV just like mine hanging up on the wall…$349!
Anyway, I did find a set of Guild Flatbass Strings for $15 and couldn't pass them up at that price.

This one arrived on Monday. The Fernandes MV65 model which is obviously a clone of the Spector NR used by Sixx in the 80's. This bass has been PLAYED! Lots of dings and scratches, but so far it's a great player. Pickups look like EMG's but they are passive and sound just okay so I will probably replace them at some point. Might also change to a stacked pot so I can adjust the sound, or just go the kill switch route. Too soon to tell what I will do. My wife is starting to make comments about too many basses and not enough space.

A real "NR". Great score Andy!
