Thunderbird Club

Picked up the National. What did I find in the driveway…

Can’t tell the story now. But I spent the winter quarter of my senior year of college in Boston working on my thesis. My time there included a weekend trip to Maine in a TBird like that. Bought three cases of beer on the way. One for each of us. Good times.

Had to work cleaning the garage yesterday and today. Still more to do. But I found a box with all the 45s I had as a young kid. Probably a couple hundred. They’ll get cleaned and organized over the next several months. Also in the box was my copy of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. I wondered where it was. An all time favorite.

And there was this:

I thought it was lost forever. My 53 year old cable. I cleaned it up and will test it out after dinner. Almost like Christmas!

Holy s**t Kara. I really need to come up for a visit.

You're welcome to, as long as you can stand small apartments with too much bass stuff in them :bag:

I've discovered, not only do I not really have room for the 'fridge, I really do not have room for it

...... without completely re-arranging my living room

I *think*, if I move my Peavey combo to a sortof empty spot in the bedroom, I can put one of the Peavey 1×15 cabs (the one the Acoustic amp is currently on top of.....) in its place - on top of the other 1×15.
Then put the Ampeg in the vacated spot next to my computer desk. If it'll fit there........

I still have that book. I wonder if that cable will roll off some high end?

Sounds like a good problem to have!

The advantage of buying those old Kustom cabs is you can lay them on their side or face and it's instant furniture! Kind of.

Not sure if you ever find yourself in the Bay Area, but I have an extra grille for that that’s is great shape. If you ever end up near SFO you can have it.

Thanks
I'm down that way for work a lot, in the middle of the night, usually. Passing through from one terminal to another.....

I go down that way occasionally to buy bass stuff, like today :)

Hah! I looks like it (luckily) just fits in your vehicle! Take that as a sign...
