They're fun, I used to like playing for bikers. A bunch of Hell's Angels came into a club late night years ago and made the bartender give everyone free drinks, we had an HA drummer for about twenty minutes except all he could do was bang on the snare, fast then slow, we just jammed along with him, that wasn't fun.

At the time, I had come across one on Reverb that was listed at $1500 and was going to buy that one - I was chatting with Scott @godofthunder59 about it and hadn't made the decision to go ahead at that point. Several days later he pinged me back as he'd found one listed at 1300.00, at that point I went ahead, Frank was quite understanding :)

This guy is certainly proud of his........

He sure is. They are unique and it would be fun to have one. But not at that price. You got a great deal V.

When I was a kid I could tell you the make, model and year of just about any car that came down the road starting from the mid fifties.

Yeah same, but prob from the early 60s cars, except the Holdens I could tell from further back.

I used to be able to tell by the tail view, even at night for some. Back when cars had different tail light designs every model?

Oh yeah, I was even known to my friends when I was a kid as someone who was able to call them all out. I'm still pretty good with the old cars. I was sitting in a restaurant out here fifteen- twenty years ago and my gaze got drawn to a Plymouth parked outside which had two little hood scoops on it and thought it looked like a '67 Plymouth GTX but those had 440's in them and there was no way someone here was going to drive a car that got ten MPG going downhill and there were a lot of 60's Plymouths here back then, Plymouths and Dodges. Me and my buddy went outside though and were looking at it and the owner came along and it was a real one. I asked him about the engine and he said it had a slant six, the 440 was in his garage but I hadn't seen one of those things for years. It didn't have the wheels on it but was identical and cars don't rust out here so it was pretty nice. A friend of mine had one years ago and there were torque monsters, I think the HP was close to 400 too.

I've heard of this band. Decided to listen to see what they sound like. Lots of energy and sorta' enjoyed the song/vid. Anyway... T-bird content.

The bass player was supposed to have a signature model from Gibson but it never materialized. He is using an NR in this video.

Can’t Do that anymore. Most everything looks the same. The cars today are better, safer and way more expensive. But also way uglier.

They’re a SoCal band that has been around a long time. IIRC, the bassist has checked into Talk Bass a few times, but I don’t know if he’s interacted with this thread.

@MCF does your Silvertone bass have lines in the surface of the body? Originally, I thought it was just age craze, but all the photos I see of those types of basses seem to have lines indicating that the top veneer is not a single piece. I know it is a veneer over a plywood core from all the photos I can find online. Just curious.
