Thunderbird Club

0 to 60….never…:smug:

I'll save speed for two-wheels... you don't have to go that fast to get the sensation on a bike.

Not even a reply. I have a brand new baby

Delivered today from Sweetwater.
I got a faulous deal.
My only beef is that it was shipped in tune with the neck under tension.
A no-no in my book, but what do I know?
Doing the "set it up for Funkengruuven" thing, right now.
She is a Thunderbird Vintage Pro with the Slim Taper neck.
I had them measure the neck at the first fret and their measurements and mine agreed completely.
Great service. (am I allowed to say that?) admin delete the line if I'm not.
Nice! They are sturdy beasts.

My brother still has an old Hurricane. It hasn’t run in years. He also has a Ducati that his wife absolutely hates (he’s also a bicyclist who has had three major accidents riding them) and the Husky 250 we rode as kids that he keeps saying he is going to restore. I mentioned to my wife I might get the Hurricane running to tool around on up on the mountain roads. I got “the look” and a “never” from her. Even when I reminded her the life insurance was paid up. Oh well….

At one point in time in the seventies, my Dad, brother and I had seven motorcycles, road and dirt, that we loved. Those were the days. I still have my M1 endorsement, even though I haven’t ridden (except around a few blocks) in several years.

Yep. I’ve owned five Volvos over the years including my first car, a PV 544. My next and likely last car I ever buy may well end up being a Volvo too. Even though I can no longer get them at employee discount prices.
I had a 63 PV544 I bought in 68. Loved it, but too small for all the gear I began accumulating, so I bought a 69 Ford Econoline and have had nothing but vans of various makes and sizes since.(Not counting my 2 different Freightliners-78 and 87).
