I have a bunch of these shims that I don’t want. I’ll send them to you if you want a few.

I have a different method for raising the pickup, I use the Fender foam in the deeper pocket, both neck and bridge, then thin “spring foams” on each side/edges of the pockets at the neck and thick “spring foams” on each side/edges at the bridge. Then some taller cone springs at the screws.

The spring foams are literally foams with two springs in them.

I’ll send pics in a few days, (like 1000 pages from now!) got a busy couple days ahead and a gig tomorrow night.

Yeah but still you chose the wrong one to be the EY
So the difference can’t be all that big.

Personally I think the Gibson has a little bit more punch. And a bit more top end.
Which comes across better in the fingerstyle part that I played.
The EY sounds a liitle more “airy”. Less compressed.

My customer chose the Gibson after some deliberation. So I’m going to have that wired to the pots.

Listening to these two clips the particular difference that gave me a reason for a preference was the clarity of the double stop in the picked section in clip A, it sounds much clearer and more articulate to my ears. Overall the A clip I found clearer with a tighter bottom end (ooer missus!) tho I still liked the B clip. In a band situation I may think differently, when all the other lot are making a racket!

I am waiting for a response on an address and when he is available. Looks like the upper strap button was moved and left a missing chunk of finish. I'll use that to offer less and then go buy some white CA and do my normal sand, polish, and buff...assuming the electronics work and the neck is straight.
