How are you liking the 95? Ebony board?

Nice! There's a 95 in the classifieds but its almost too mint and its a sunburst. I'd rather get one a little more beat up and refinish it a colour.Liking it a lot better with the pg you made for me!
‘95 is the first one I got a few years ago ($800 with OHSC) and I had put the Lollars in it pretty quickly. Then it was the gateway. All 4 of the Gibsons that I have now have the ebony, and I like all of them a lot. The ‘95 is the only one that had suffered a break. Luckily it was repaired well, according to the shop I took it to. I think a new fret job will be in order someday as it’s not as perfect as it can be, but it’s total playable and very much a good player.

That’s the current lineup, minus the Black ‘22 Eppi (not photographed).
On the hunt for a 2000-2004 Gibson in black with ebony FB. I love the Eppi’s but very much like the Gibsons better.
All that Tbird goodness in one place is rather hypnotic…Liking it a lot better with the pg you made for me!

Clearly you and V didn't pay enough. They probably sound awful. The ones with good tone always cost way more. A well known internet fact.I bought one for my EBO locally for $80 about a year ago.
Yeah, I’m not worried about “Gibson” branded, but I am surprised that that are standard length, I thought they would be long. So the regular ones that you would use on a Fender type through the pick guard or control plate are long enough?

Agree. Great prices on the best run of Thunderbirds since the 2015 Reverses. OP should grab one.A Couple of nice options for you that are local:

They should be long enough to fit, as they're usually 3/8" in length (the threaded portion of the pot). I'd say if you can take one of yours out from your bird & measure its length, you'll have accuracy to what length is needed.
BTW, you have a nice collection of birds! The 95 w/black nickel Lollars looks amazing! How's the Babicz bridge in terms of tone/set up? Any reason you went with it vs the hipshot supertone? I quite like the look of the babicz over the hipshot supertone (even though my epi bird still sports the 3 point because i've no real issue with it - however that might change)
You're getting some matching rings for this one? It will look fantastic!
Buy two!Thank you! This is great! I was budgeting c.$2K so I'm sure my wife will also be a big fan of this one
A few of these came with the Hipshot. I pulled them off and sold them on eBay. It’s mostly aesthetic, I like the heavy duty and somewhat complex look, but also the Babicz uses all three mounting points, where the Hipshot just uses the two back ones. Although the Babicz is quite the contraption, it’s pretty easy to work with once you’ve done it the first time.
I wonder what's the point of selling black nickel rings, then.On a note of Gemini pickups, sadly they haven't had a source for black nickel covers in several years, & due to such little demand, he saw no point. But, he does offer the Doninator, Devastator, & Degenerate in black soapbar formats which come in two different covers for 4 string basses (emg or alembic).

Ah, so just remaining stock. That makes more sense. They did tell me the only had 4 of the black nickel rings and I bought all of them. I wonder if they will re-stock?
