Those might work, too. It's dependent upon where the mounting screw is. When I swapped the stock tuners for Hipshots on the '91, that screw was in a different place. Not a big deal for me once I got used to the idea that I was drilling holes in a Gibson. Who am I kidding, I'll drill holes in anything and wait to regret it until later, if ever.

These might also work: Schaller Germany M4 Mini Sealed 4 Inline Chrome Bass Tuners Machine Heads | eBay

As I recall, the stock tuners on the '91 had an offset screw like the Shallers, not a centered screw like the others. I don't know if there's any difference between older and newer versions as far as that's concerned.

Good afternoon to all. I just ordered a Supertone bridge for my Epi Classic Pro. I did a search but came up empty. Do the threaded inserts on the body need any modifications or will the bridge sit properly with them as is? It looks like the bridge has recesses on the bottom to accommodate the flanged ends of the inserts. Thanks for any info.

That bridge is made to work on that system - it just eliminates the upper post which is notched so you can leave in the female socket and it uses the 2 lower sockets to connect it. I'm pretty sure it comes with 2 machine bolts.

Thanks. I guess my question is about the two lower "sockets". They have flanged ends that sit above the body. Will those flanges inhibit the bridge from sitting directly on the body? Like I said, it seems the bottom of the bridge has recesses where the "sockets" are but I'm just looking to confirm.

Well I have Finally ordered my First Bird. Alpine White from Sweetwater. July release date. Been wanting to do this for a long time.
There's no turning back if you are a 'Bird person. You can play everything from country to jazz on a 'Bird. The only people who don't know that are people who don't play 'Birds.

Just about everything I've listened to is Great. So many different sounds. Been playing A G&L JB2 and LB100. This will cover just about all of it .
The more I play 'em, the less I think anything else is necessary. Not to say I got rid of everything else, because I have the bass acquisition personality defect. But, I don't remember playing any bass except a Thunderbird or the upright in public for a long time. Maybe a couple years now.
