Thunderbird Club

I saw an Epiphone NR Thunderbird come up on eBay Au the other day with a 'buy it now' of AUD $1200.00.

Even given the 'Australian Tax' - that's well and truly overs... isn't it?

Edit- to put in context a bit; I'd expect to pay AUD $800-$900 for a Gibson EB13/14
That's only a little out of line in USD for an EB13/14. Those are way undervalued.

Well unless Gibson makes lefties again, it's pretty much been decided for me.
I'm actually about to buy another Gibson I found, I might sell my sunburst Tokai with Gibson pickups FYI

I always get the retort, "That's different!" when I pose that shoes and purses question. :) Her argument used to be difference in pricing but now with the advent of Coach, etc. purses, they aren't giving those away either so it's neutralized her response a bit. Ain't love grand? ;)

My wife's purse and shoe collection outnumbers my gear by a fair bit. Some of my toys cost a "tiny bit" more than her usual purse prices.

Yeah, but this is the Non Reverse. Ok, it's rare but I'm not aware that it is particularly highly regarded

The Epi NR's are great basses, just nothing like an actual Thunderbird. Alder body, maple neck, rosewood board, P-J pickups. Basically a 7ender in cooler clothing. I still have 2 and really enjoy them.
