Perhaps the initial hermaphrodite gestation period is not over yet, they don't start "showing" until the offspring appear. Sneaky bastards! Not absolute, no, but the Thunderbird has definitely quelled GAS a lot.
A Lull sure would be fun.
Just for asking? What the philanthropist! All you have to do is ask, Mike will make you one!

There's the problem.Works better if you include cash![]()
I heard that they use to put on long shows but that's just crazy!![]()
I know I haven't upgraded to a proper Gibson yet, but it's because my Epi T-bird was my first and well... So if I could join the club and get a number, I would really appreciate it.

The Epiphone's are perfectly fine and several here will tell you there's very little difference in those and the Gibson versions other than perhaps minor hardware differences. I gig my Epi's regularly and proudly and sound wise they totally get the tones I'm going for. And at less than 1/3 the price of the Gibby IMO it's really a non issue.I know I haven't upgraded to a proper Gibson yet, but it's because my Epi T-bird was my first and well... There are people who will make you the body. Then add a neck, pickups, paint the color of your choice...Hmmmm, I hadn't considered the same model.

You need both. Him inside will understand. If he doesn't, just send him to us and we will explain the truth.I'm starting to have GAS pangs for the soon to be released Epi Classic cos you buggers won't shut up about it! EB3L or 3rd Bird? EB3L or 3rd Bird? EB3L or 3rd Bird? EB3L or 3rd Bird? EB3L or 3rd Bird?
Do I free my inner Bolder/Bruce/Fraser/Quaife ... or become a total Bird brain?

It's also higher math. The correct number was n+1. Now it's n+2.
We are here to help.
You might check guitar center. The 2015s are still up on their site. They were clearing them out at over 50% off, which is how I got mine. Not sure if they are still doing it.I know it's not the traditional Bird pups, but i find the coil tapping might be very useful for me.
They still seem to be a bit on the spendy side since they are discontinued and a bit rare, but i do see them come up.
How many Thunderbird cases do you need? One reverse and one non-reverse. And the EB-3L case. That doesn't limit the number of 'Birds you can have strewn around the house.I was just looking at the bass section of my wardrobe and it really will only fit 3 cases. My somewhat arbitrary limit appears to correspond to the limits of the actual storage space.

I think @Gaolee was spot on in describing pups. They are thunderous. I don't tend to use the coil tapping but it is a nice tone-shaping feature.

There's an answer to all problems.
You need to move to a place with more space and air conditioning to support a flock of free-range Thunderbirds. In a climate as hot and sticky as Sydney's, one nice dry enclosed case per bass...? Hanging them on walls is not a recipe for domestic harmony.
