Is it possible these are just left over bolt ons, and just being marketed in some kooky way to sell?
Well, let's think about it 1219181018-00.jpg Hmm...It's Gibson/Epi, so...

Who knows. These all list now with the wider 1.73 nut. They did some for a few years with a 1.5 nut, although probably 95% of them ever made have the wider nut. And the width doesn’t matter that much to me. I’m dazed and confused. But I love all my Epis. IMO, best bang for the buck.

That Quatermass trip made me listen to Deep Purple's Fireball. There were connections: Mick Underwood played with Gillan, John Gustafson with the Ian Gillan Band and Peter Robinson on a later Gillan solo album. Gus even replaced both Gillan & Glover in Episode Six (Underwood was a member) when they joined Purple.
And of course Blackmore wanted to cover "Black Sheep Of The Family" and got his way on the first Rainbow album.
Anyway, Fireball is an underrated classic and I especially like the B-side. "No One Came" is Gillan at his best. No screaming, just great singing and tonque in cheek lyrics.

Now we’re playing the Kevin Bacon game.

one of my favorites…. love Glover’s intro….if I recall the sleeve shows him playing a P….believe he got the Rick for MH where it sounds like he (at least for some stuff) left the flats on….wonder what bass/strings/amp (if any) he used to record that track…….he used a Peavey when I saw him on the Perfect Strangers tour…..remember the house (20k at Hollywood Sportatorium) exploding when they broke into Stange Kind of Woman…. gosh I miss those days….

Generally I don't get too wound up about Football, but our locals are playing for the National Championship to night.
So, as the say "Bow down to Washington"

Purple is one of our colors.

Somehow I expected you to know them. Sadly, I didn’t buy the vinyl back in the day. I had a buddy who thought they would be bigger than Yes, Genesis, ELP, etc. Wrong. But good stuff all the same.

If you’re still keep spreadsheets on who Frank needs to sell basses to in the event of your unfortunate demise, I respectfully request to be at the top o the list for that one. It’s always been my favorite
