Customizing is a slippery slope!I think I need to have Irv make me a new TRC with Epiphone in red foil.
It says brand new though. I thought the CP went out of production a few years ago?@kln_bc
I’d second this approach.
If the goal is to off the two piece bridge then you’re best off starting with a three point. And the biggest bang for the buck on three point birds is the CP. Ideally the 2012-13 model with the neck pickup below the pickguard screw. If this is the picture of the actual bass for sale, then it’s the one you want and it’s a fair price…

And I complain about the G&L headstock….Kind of an interesting T-bSO made by ESP/Edwards E-AC-90 ... lot's of nifty details

Customizing is a slippery slope!
It’s a pretty easy pedal to figure out. It probably has a well written manual, but I never looked it up, because its self explanatory.I posted a review of how great it is and how easily I found my sounds.
I'm one than can get lost in turning knobs, but this was not the case here.
E1, 60’s Thunderbird…some new employee in marketing trying to justify their position. It says brand new though. I thought the CP went out of production a few years ago?
Also did we ever work out this E1 business?
This guy (Howard Schnellenberger), from Louisville put Miami football on the map after going there in '79 to a dead program they were considering canceling. He did the same thing here at UofL as well--just no national championship. Told the people here what needed to happen to be a ranked team and they did some of it and "knew better" with other parts, but were put into place with the results he said--but after he left. Howard was an odd dude--but he knew what he was talking about. Loved that guy. Always wore a suit and cowboy boots. Well, very often I should say.yup, Coral Gables in the 80’s……how could I forget?………or remember for that matter……go Hurricanes!…..![]()
You got that right about UCSB. When I was at UCI, we drove up there about twice a year for parties that someone I or one of my buddies knew was throwing. What happened in IV, stayed in IV.UCSB is pretty well known as a “Party” school, beautiful campus though.
It’s just a dusting
Will you be bringing that one to the GTG Jeff? Would love to hear it!
I need to dig my Reverend Rumblefish 5L out of storage and play it a bit more. It has a glorious sound and looks to die for…

The CP did. This could be NOS. More likely the photo is just wrong, but who knows? It says brand new though. I thought the CP went out of production a few years ago?

Yeah, while not a Ric, the G&L seems to me no more silly looking than a Ric HS, which always reminded me of something that got spilled. No offense to those who love them. Just my weird take. And I complain about the G&L headstock….
Sweewater sells them. The CP did. This could be NOS. More likely the photo is just wrong, but who knows?
A couple months ago, Epi support looked into the E1 bit for me and said they could find no evidence Epi was currently manufacturing and selling those. Yet New E1s continue to be listed and presumably sold.
Yep. All the major outlets do.Sweewater sells them.
Sweewater sells them.
Yep. All the major outlets do.
Sure. But for a while, almost nobody had any.Is it possible these are just left over bolt ons, and just being marketed in some kooky way to sell?
Sure. But for a while, almost nobody had any.
I posted this in the main page, but someone suggested asking here...
I'm considering picking up an Epi Tbird to scratch that itch...I dont think I'll ever NOT want a bird, and Gibsons might be too expensive for how much I would likely use it.
Anyway, I'm eyeing the Vintage Pro, there's one in my area...I'm wondering though if anyone has changed out that Tune-o-matic bridge and Claw tailpiece? It's the same one on the Embassy as well. I'm sure it works ok, but Ive had issues with similar bridges before, and I have a feeling at some point I'll want it gone (also, I may want to swap to gold hardware and style it like the Gibson Rex Brown).
If anyone has swapped I'd love to know what you used. Or maybe someone has the measurements? I was looking at this Hipshot as a possibility:
4 String D Style Bass Bridge
But I don't know if it will fit obviously, without buying the bass and measuring.
indeed a household name in SoFl back then..This guy (Howard Schnellenberger), from Louisville put Miami football on the map after going there in '79 to a dead program they were considering canceling.
