Thanks! I worked with Robert who recorded us (post production) to get the bass as up-front as appropriate/needed for the song. The initial mix left it somewhat buried. I get it generally that the bass isn't "meant" to be up front-ish, but in my estimation certain songs live/trive there both rhythmically and melodically. When rehearsing and playing it live - my bass-line isn't 'dominant', but it it also isn't buried - if it isn't prominent... the song has less impact.

I only was a passenger on the back of my '93 Honda VFR 750 once piloted by my friend Joe who is a skilled motorcyclist. (long story) - I've never been so afraid on two wheels. On a related topic, the gf's I've had (in the past) as passengers on my motorcycles... there were those who clamped their legs hard against mine and those who remained relaxed, regardless of lane-splitting etc. I always felt it was a 'trust' thing...

Playing Devil's advocate here. I've heard of Pantera, but couldn't name one of their songs. My question is, if not him, who? Who else who is younger or main stream, has cred, and plays a Thunderbird? If I had a name, I'd offer it up. Of course, the issue is the old guys at Gibson would need to buy off on them, but a sizeable track record would be a requirement...

in all fairness, bucket seating of the period left a lot to be desired but in the spirit of keeping the original look and feel…..

...oh, I'm not complaining - I loved your driving me around the area in the AMX as I trusted you completely. It was a visceral experience!
I guess, when were they popular, are they still popular? I couldn't name one of their songs either. And are his Thunderbirds modified in some cool, but acceptable way to the majority of us? Granted, like many here, I grew up on Rock, and Hard Rock. Being out of touch with current music, about 2 years ago, I had to ask my 50 year old brother what his top 10 favorite bands were, and what their best albums were. I got stuff like Hoobastank, Linkin Park, Stone Sour, and the like. I made copies of his CDs, and was very disappointed. Found a few good songs, nothing I'd like to learn. I'm thinking Gibson has the same issues.

could be wrong but believe that as long as there are bass guitars, a market will exist for TBirds…...they’re just that cool, there are TBird owners that don’t even play…
For those of you that use pedals of a pedalboard, do you find that there’s a bit of a pop or click when you use the pedals at the end(amp side) of your board?
If so, any tricks to mitigate it?
All four brand new pedals on the amp end of the board give a good pop when I step on ‘em. This is at my studio. I have changed the power supply, tried in two different amps.

My pedals at the amp side are always on, so I never have that issue. (engaging them) Occasionally I'll hear a pop on last pedal (tuner) on the bass side live - but not always. I chalk it up to connections or the venue's power-source although I always use a power-strip with a breaker-switch to protect my amp. (yah, I know... needless to say)

does it change if you disconnect the input to tho clicky pedals? i.e pull the jack out of the input to ensure the input jacks ground themselves….
Fair enough, I've heard of them but never heard his name before. But I do know all about Pantera and Rex Brown - and I still didn't go to buy one, was in the shop to try out a IG NR but it was peculiarly heavy and balanced like a sack of poopy so I tried the Rex bird and it balanced great. Tho also a bit heavy.
So I'm a fan of that band and still wasn't after his bass anyway
