Thunderbird Club

If you aren't a PJ fan it may not be for you. But there are a TON of replacement pickups that might make it something you like. I believe Mr. North has one of the 4 string variants so if you are going to his place you could probably test it to see if you like it. If you like it you could always replace the PJs with some type of Tbird pickups like this person did.

And that was my dilemma. I could live with the sound of the P pup(the J pup being totally useless), but to get a more 'Bird-ish tone-maybe, still isn't mahogany-I was gonna hafta to put $ I didn't have into someone(I don't have the skills)putting in a Thunderbird pup[which one?]and doing whatever needed done with the PG/routing. And I already had/have the LPB2/5. It just wasn't worth it.
To me.
YMMV.
Tweetchie zone.

All they’d have to say is inspected by Chuck and the issue would be moot.

Exactly! But in this case I think it was possibly how the seller came off just discounting Marshall. He could have been like, "I determined that by doing so the amp will have a long trouble-free life-span"... or something like that.
