I'm glad I wasn't the only one lost as to how you approach it! Looks boobytrapped. Take one thing out and it all goes everywhere....and how does one actually/physically drink something like that?

I actually like that song. Used to play it in one of the old bands. I like the sad song about a death of his friend. I don't know the name of it, but it's very moving and the music is perfect for the song.Thank you! So even Neil haters have to admit that is classic.
I have lost count how many times I’ve seen him. Memorable highlights include back back to night shows at the Forum in October of ‘78. The early eighties at the recently enclosed Universal Studios Amphitheater for the Trans tour. The Shocking Pinks Show at the Irvine Amphitheater at the Lion Country Safari park (long gone) 79 - 80 ish? The Harvest Gold show, all solo, at the OC Fairgrounds in the early nineties; James was the opener and they totally blew me away. The funnest was the Bakersfield show in ‘18 at the Fox Theatre with Crazy Horse. It was Epic.
The adult version ofI'm glad I wasn't the only one lost as to how you approach it! Looks boobytrapped. Take one thing out and it all goes everywhere.
Great idea? The ‘15 goes in the box. Unless it has become so valuable it would be moronic to let it go away with me.
I hear the headstock cracking and flying off during the service now traumatizing all the non-Thunderbird people there. You do have style!I thought about what guitar or bass I would take with me, but that would be a horrible waste of a perfectly good instrument. Besides, I want the carcass loaded into a trebuchet, lit on fire, and flung into the ocean to feed crabs after a flaming last flight. No room for a guitar or anything else. There's probably a law against that kind of thing, though. Too bad. What a last ride!
Thanks Andy. That is a great price. Can you tell me how the pickups sound in your Epi PJ Thunderbirds? I’m not a huge PJ fan. I have a Fender that is terrible and a Fender Mustang that is ok, but not great.
Except for finish, that's the same as the one I had. I'm not saying don't buy it. But. I don't regret buying and selling mine. Don't expect it to sound like a Thunderbird.
Try it out while you’re here tomorrow and if you bond with it we’ll work something out.
If you're going to be naked Jeff, maybe a closed lid might be worth considering for the service. But hey, it would be memorable.I’m not one to take anything with me when I go.
I don’t see the point.
I wanna leave as I came in.

New clutch? Hmmmm... What did you do and why did it need a new clutch?sorry GEO but anybody that knows amps wants to see that especially with tube amps…almost like “New Clutch” when selling a manual car…
Not in my book. I think you made a valid point. I didn't know what Andy said, but I wouldn't seek a cab job unless there was a clear reason. Just because of it's age isn't that reason to me. However, I can see why mods might have seen it as going beyond questioning the seller. Does he know how old some caps are and still work just fine? My main Ampeg is near 20 and the other a little over. Never thought about doing that just for the heck of it. That said, I'm no amp tech by any means. So I got busted today. And had a post removed. There is a guy selling a hard to find twenty year old Agi 200 watt all tube amp in the classifieds. I’m interested.
But the guy wants close to 2K for it. As some amp ads frequently state, it was recently gone through and had all the caps replaced without explaining why. So I responded by simply asking why the caps were replaced. The seller’s response was that it is “common” maintenance for a twenty year old amp. Nothing else was said. So I responded with a link, no comment or other text, just the link, with a recent Andy Fields (Agedhorse) thread re cap life and how ridiculous it is to replace caps for no reason. My post was removed. I guess I understand and I probably should not have done that. But my intention was to give potential buyers pause to ask questions before buying.
But. The seller let someone, identify not disclosed, go into the guts of a valuable amp and do who knows what that could cause potential problems. And there were no issues that the seller disclosed that led to replacement. Was I wrong?
When I modify an instrument, I figure its value goes down by at least as much as I put in it. Which means that the Flamingo is probably approaching negative value. No but in the bass side, some sellers feel that their very subjective upgrades should be accepted as gospel, and at full retail too boot...
Ah, you’re doing it all wrongWhen I modify an instrument, I figure its value goes down by at least as much as I put in it. Which means that the Flamingo is probably approaching negative value.
an output transformer is like a torque converter..New clutch? Hmmmm... What did you do and why did it need a new clutch?
AH HA! I spot Sebago musical pedal actuator shoes in the second picture..And thus the migration begins- I like this migratory bird!

For now it’ll be mated either with the board direct - via these pedals-

They can look great on boots.....
Really good analogy. Makes sense to an ignorant tech person like me.an output transformer is like a torque converter..
