Anyone here a fan of Drop D tuners? I’m buying some Hipshot ultra lights for my T-Bird project and I see they have one. I have a P Bass with a Drop tuner and use it occasionally when I need to go real low.
Does the bird like to be dropped? Ha!

I have the Ultralite drop tuners on my Orville and Jazz Bass Special. Once dialed in, they work pretty well.
I used to drop my E to Eb for Superstition and another tune in Eb. These days it's for low D on Black Velvet and Cuts like a Knife.
IIRC think the drop tuners are only in the US series. LIC tuners don't look identical.

What color is the Dano? Korean reissue?

Are your toes out getting a pedi?

do I need a pedicure?

Yes Korean, I have one Chinese reissue (Wild Thing treble) and it’s not well put together, (pickguard doesn’t fit the body well, but plays well) but fixable.

not sure what they call that colour.. ebcf’s

with all the insert pads to position it in the case. I was looking for a case for one of my basses and it was actually two wide for the body which is 19.5" wide it is in real good condition and clean but has a wood smoke smell. Shipping might be on the high side cause it is real wide. Would be great if someone local was interested PM me if interested. Thanks,CD

That is mind blowing that Northrup designed the YB49-2 in the 40's! Some say it was based on the German Horton HO-229 which had a wood air frame!
What doomed the Northrup Flying wing was several fatal crashes during proto testing. It took computer control to make the flying wing design stable to fly which resulted in the B-2 Bomber.

Jack Northrop, the aviation pioneer who founded Northrop Corp., was granted an extraordinary government security clearance just before his death in 1981 to see the company’s design for the B-2 Stealth bomber, which resurrected the “flying wing” concept he had invented in the 1940's.

B-2 Bomber payload!!!

I've seen the B-2 fly a few times and it is a beautiful but deadly piece of machinery.
We unexpectedly saw one fly over leaving town after the annual airshow before derby. Kind of weird to see one fly. They were not at much altitude yet so it was a great view.

Got one on a bass that came with it. Never used it.
