Thunderbird Club

Wyman played syncopated bass lines to Keith’s riffs which is what made it sound so great.
Also, whatever key one plays it in, Keith's riff's highest note is the fourth, resulting in a suspension-which is kinda hard to recognize at first. I've also heard bass players play 1 to 5 instead of 1 to 4. Weird.o_O

Turning a IV into a II?

that’s the red/splanklin burgundy fretless, I put a dummy in the bridge a while back, and used the exranauseous pickup in the DC below…

Pretty ebony fretLESS board. However one of my least liked body shapes:

Willy, all the work is already done. I think you’re not a fan of black basses, but all black with a black board? And you are one afraid to paint I know…

Thats is sooper cool and I would maybe leave that one as it is, but I had to build my own DC due to the lack of affordabilibiddytees.
It’s one of my better basses.

I know this is a T-Bird thread but that is the classiest looking Casaday Bass I think I've ever seen! Nice Mods!

Gee thanks! I should do a dedicated thread to the mods on it.

I love Epiphones, but prefer the Gibson headstock shape. There are some Epiphones, like my Spirit doublecut that have it:

that still sounds better than playing the riff……this is another one where many bassists play the guitar line…..many guitarists (this one included as you can see) get it wrong on the resolve going to the the 2 instead of the 4……Radle’s line sooo services this tune……

where do you go in India?……off to Delhi on the 4th….
Heading from New Delhi to Agra (Taj)?

Family in Bangalore. Side trips to the beach in Goa. But they are moving this summer to Amman. If you live more than about 2/3 of your time over a 3 year period you have to pay 33% tax on your global income. Now, after 7+ years living there, the Indian government has become so corrupt that they try to stretch that 33% to all your global assets, which isn't the law. That makes living there full time just too big of a pain in the arse fighting with bureaucrats. So, move the family to Amman and then travel back and forth to run the business and make sure not to exceed the in country time limits. </rant>

P.S. if you need any tips or have questions, my son-in-law has traveled all through India. I can connect you if you need anything.

Ever play "All Blues" and stay on the 1 (as Paul Chambers did) when the band goes to the 2? That's gotten me funny looks a number of times.

Goa is beautiful! My company has a factory there, so I see it on the internal social media.

I would suggest either the Gibson or Seymour Duncun Custom Shop, they're both good!
You might PM @Engle re the PG.

It depends what you’re looking for. I out Gemini pickups in my Thunderbird and it’s been solid ever since. Worth checking out as an option: Thunderbird Bass Pickups

I sat down with this for just a few minutes this AM - @godofthunder59 Scott is going to like how his new Greco sounds......
