Thunderbird Club

I remember that song being a hit when I was a kid.
Yeah, I remember the scenes shown under it as well so I must have seen the movie forty years ago.

Interestingly they were “British Jigsaw” in Australia because we already had a working band called Jigsaw.
Same thing happened with Squeeze, they were “UK Squeeze”. They were still Cool for Cats.

There's an old Checker station wagon that drives around in Silver Lake/Echo Park/East LA, thing is a beast. I'd love to have something like that, talk about spare room!
Having driven a Checker cab in NYC in the early 1980s, I wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole and somebody else's keys. Those are the worst cars every built. Inadequate in all ways comes to mind. But yeah, they sure were big.
It's been a while since mentioning that my first car was a 1954 Triumph TR-2. It was the perfect car, with the exception of some basic wear issues. And mechanical flaws. And some rust. Other than that it was perfect. The motor turned the wheels. No top, no roll-up windows, no radio, no heater. Two less wheels and it would have been a motorcycle. It looked the part, too. The mechanical flaws could be forgiven, since it was 1950s British technology. Meaning probably mostly 1930s technology. It is the one car I owned that I truly miss.

Not only is baklava on the menu, but expanding into coffee. Maybe some for the GTG.

So after much soul searching and rationalizing I followed our Queens lead and broke down and bought Jamie's (cuth) Greco Thunderbird. I have to thank Jamie for such a great deal and I can't wait for the bass to arrive. Here are some of the pictures from the for sale post .

Change in plans. The condo folks had set the room up a bit different from our last gig. The table to my left was in a position that I would've been conking the residents with my h.s. any time someone got up to get more food(a chili cook-off which I thoroughly enjoyed, TY).
Anyhoo, fortunately I'd brought the backup('09 Epi EB-0), which became the weapon of necessity. Going from 34.5" to 30.5" was, shall we say, interesting. I literally missed a few notes. OOPS!
