Another instrument I had no idea about is the Bassoon:

You sit on one end of the strap. The other end has a cup that holds the end:

That's cool. Very unique sound. I always thought they looked like some kind of science fiction bong.
(I know everyone here will have to google that word for it's meaning.....

Can you ship a little of the talent in your family this way? I'll pay shipping. Just a little will help and you all seem to have plenty!

Guys, what is the good sequence for tuning and intonation after changing strings on TBird?

Which steps do you follow when it comes to bridge height and saddle intonation? Which you do first?

Check/adjust relief
Adjust saddle/bridge height
Check/adjust intonation

Always do intonation last because string heights due to adjusting the truss rod and moving saddles or the bridge up and down will affect it.

what happened? Did you break one?

Yeah. Mine too.(not)

Hi Rob, was hoping you could help me in answering the question;
were the headstock front plates on 60’s NR white Birds both black or white? I see some of the custom colors had the front be that as well but I have also seen them black…

saw a pic of Geddy Lee with a white NR with a black headstock, then again I’ve seen all white headstocks on 60’s NRs as well….were these refinished after a hs break? anything you could add would be great…..THX!

Supposedly heavy headstocks help with dead spots on the neck. If I remember right I saw a video with Roger Sadowsky where he basically said that the heavy headstock essentially shifted the dead spots to higher than you could play. I may be remembering that wrong though.

I’ve seen them with black headstock face and with a matching color headstock face.

Fretboard, neck and body cleaned.
It seems silly, but I applied powdered graphite to the nut and saddles.

Next: your tips.
Thanks.
