Congrats on your anniversary. Really cool. Mine was more of a time span than a specific date I recall. Before getting married, so over 30 yrs. Now I just do mildly stupid things that the police have no interest in.Oh I started all that in roughly 1978 (middle school), and it didn’t end until 2004. This past Tuesday was the 20 year anniversary of my “bottom”. The day I got arrested. Luckily I beat my case and learned my lesson, the hard way but the first time, and started the process of getting mytogether.

Yeah, it’s interesting that I have reached a point where I barely drink, mostly only socially, and no drugs at all, not even pot, even though it’s legal. It’s also bizarre that I occasionally run across people I knew way back and see that (it seems) they are still messing with some of that stuff. Shame, because I literally will repel away from anyone that I even suspect may be messing with hard stuff, especially meth. I can’t have anyone like that in my orbit, and I don’t even want them to have me on their radar at all. Nothing to see here, move along. Nice quiet hardworking, musical life happening here, no room for drama.
I ended up buying a loaded EB-0 body and mounting the neck and hardware to that. I have posted it in the EB bass forum.
Unfortunately, none of the aforementioned are readily available.

Would the pots in my Gibson Thunderbird 2014 be 500k? Part reads 1328

Humbuckers should be 500k. All my Epis are A500k.
I have pulled a couple of original (scratchy) Gibson pots out of my 2003 Gibby, and they were 250k.
Lulls run a 1M. Maybe that's the secret sauce.

Not mine - belongs to a tb member, and badged differently. Mine was badged a Stadium. (this one is a St George) It was 34" scale unlike most bass coming out of Japan in the '60s. Japan produced a handful of long-scale basses starting in '65 - mine was a '66. I sold it to a neighborhood friend when I bought my second (used) bass, a short-scale Vox Cougar hollow-body.
It was good enough that this guy is pictured playing one - it's hard to tell but I think the guitarist is the guy who plays in Portishead.

I thought Scott had played several of them. Veronica will have to say one way or another because I can't keep track of that inventory. With the exception of the orange Lull that I really lust after. I expect that playing it will be very much like a VP. It is whether that green is metallic or not that I'm most interested in. If it is metallic, then it would be a bit more interesting. To me anyway. I'm shallow that way. I didn't get along with the VP I had for a while, even though it was a pretty good one. The action was perfect, I just didn't bond with it at all for some reason.

tried V’s Lull in and out of a (live) mix and as sweet as it sounded it’s not the only option…..Greco remains the best kept (available) secret imho…..a IV has two of those monsters and for about 1200, you get a decent playing Bird as well…

There was a Greco for $900 up here in the Seattle area, almost within walking distance of my house. It was a black one with black hardware and a black pickguard. None more black. I thought about taking a look, but somebody else snapped it up before I quit dithering about whether it was a good idea or not. I think it was from the mid to late 1980s. So, they are around.
