I wonder if you (the royal "you") could tell the difference in a mix.

Still too many variables, strings, amp, settings, pick, fingers, so probably not. But, I know I like them on their own so when I'm playing I know I like how they sound.

My Mum died at 48 yo, I felt very strange when I hit 48… concerned maybe? I dunno but it was an odd feeling.

I bet it was. Dad had a heart attack when he was 36. I had some thoughts at that age. His heart problems and some of the other things he suffered through before he died at 82 are reasons I eat like I do and get the exercise i get. At least in part. Things like that have a huge impact.

I’m guessing it would require a non-disclosure agreement and a confidentially clause. But at that point, I wouldn’t want to do business with someone breaking their agreement with Lull.

For purely selfish reasons, I’m hoping you go with Lollars as I want to play a Thunderbird with them in person. I always enjoy hanging with you in your bass room.

PayPal issued an instant refund on the gorgomyte non delivery. Normally, they do an investigation so I guess they know that JJ has an automatic PayPal charge system even though they are no longer really in business.

Lulls are made by TV Jones and they have an agreement to not sell them publicly.

Seymour Duncan has made them for Lull as well, there was a stretch when they were available separately and the T4s and NRs were able to be advertised - TV Jones could not produce anywhere near enough pickups and Mike had a backlog of basses finished, just waiting for pickups. He thus shifted some production to SD with the same proprietary arrangement on the specification. I had this conversation with Mike.

Nope, business decision made by Spencer Lull, they will not sell them separately. When I wanted one for my BaCH I went to the shop and spoke with him about getting one, the ONLY reason it happened was because I had a prior relationship with Mike as an endorsing artist for the pickups, I still am, but I'm not going to try and get any more.

The pictures posted of them online just don't do the colors justice, the Inverness green is beautiful, I would have it, but already own 4 green Birds.

Spencer told me that if he changed his mind he’d have to charge $800 a set. That was a year or so ago.

The orange one? I am deeply, madly in lust with that specific bass. I might even part with the '01 and '15 if it ever came down to it. The Flamingo will be so "personalized" that I would probably have to pay somebody else rather than be able to sell it.

I think so? My brain hurt like a warehouse, it had no room to spare.
I had to cram so many things to store everything in there. All I know is I hit the open A to do my McVie thing and I heard the voice of God say “yes?” With that bass, no priest required.

I want to meet Spencer when I’m in Seattle for the GTG and talk about him building me my retirement fiver. In Pelham Blue of course.

At length. A couple of members here already own one. And there is some fret board angle difference with these Chinese ones that is different from the Indonesian ones that has been discussed about them.

I will say this. My TT800 is so amazing, I can make my Epi’s sound like Gibsons. Not sure how that will carry over in a mix though.
