Thunderbird Club

Serious question: What are good airlines to fly?

I want the ones where men dress in suits and ladies in dresses and people act like adults not overage spring breakers. SW is big here and seems to have a lot of options. From what I can tell we have a lot of budget flights. I think I'd rather get in a box and let UPS fly me someplace.
I'm down to Qatar and Singapore, I don't fly domestic much anymore. I dropped Emirates off the list as the cabin crew went from respectful international types to grumpy old white women.

Wednesday it is............

What's the neck like on those compared to a Thunderbird?

I'm not a good guy to ask about necks as I'm not picky, but I would say it's not chunky and it's not thin.

maybe it's close to my 21 nr? maybe... PBass-like

I do believe the 2017 EB4 is jazz-like

I tend to categorize as follows...

1) chunky
2) Pbass
3) Jazz
4) thin as shag

Awww, I’m so ready! :)

We're enjoying a gray, rainy spring here so far, maybe a couple nice days coming up..........
I need to get started shaping up your accommodations, there's too many electric trains out and about, they need to go back in the closet :)

I’m low maintenance, just some blankies and pillows.
The trains can stay. :):)

Ok I figured I would really like this bass and I was right…

I’m also learning to like rounds on fretted.

the KB-1 came with chromes and I likes them.

the eb4 cames with elixers and I likes them too.

changed the knobs and it’s perfect.

I'm not surprised. I don't understand at all why Gibson gave up on those after two lousy years. I was playing mine last night at a rehearsal, and it sounded great. I hate to admit that it sounded as good as a Thunderbird, except a little different of course. The ergos aren't quite as good a Thunderbird, at least for me. But it's a keeper for sure. I let mine go for what I paid for it, but then I was able to get it back again. I won't be letting it go again. Refinishing it a different color is pretty likely in time. Mine is burst.

Do any of y'all know anything about this guy? Looks like a Bach, and those seem to get pretty solid reviews around here. Anybody ever tried those Montreux pickups? I'm ready to swap my Ultra Precision for it... And that's a fantastic bass on it's own. Just wondering if anybody has some knowledge to convince me either way.

BaCH OX BIRD Pino Palldino Thunder Bass 2000s - Sunburst | Reverb

I bought my BaCH NR IV from this seller. He was great to deal with. Quickly responded to questions. The bass was professionally packed and as described. Shipping was 3 days via UPS from Sweden to NY.

They are similar. My CroMagnon hands don't feel much difference. The back of an EB neck might be a little flatter than a Thunderbird neck. An EB neck might be marginally wider. But neither is enough to be particularly noticeable. My Precision has an aircraft carrier deck, and I can easily tell the difference between that one and a Thunderbird. The P-Bird neck is a modern Precision width, and I can easily tell the difference there, too. I think the difference is only 1/8" but I haven't measured it.

If you ever see a lefty, it's worth jumping on if you can.

Closet? Nothing should ever be in the closet.

For what it's worth, I kinda like this weather. Riding the motorcycle in the soup is fun if you have the right screws rattling around in your head.
