The Casady needs a chrome Tbird cover on that Epi pickupGlad toenablehelp!I was tempted to buy it myself - it's a very classy bass. I'm a knob snob and think these gold speed-knobs work well both functionally and visually.

Pickups are funny. My Carvin with its two Carvin J99 single coils isn't my favorite tone, but it's very quiet.The Casady needs a chrome Tbird cover on that Epi pickup

That's like the 7ender "noiseless" in a PJ Precision I own. Jeff has suggested a change that I'll do in time.

As long as they keep making/selling them - that's a decent price 'as is'. I've been lucky to pay less for a HSC but have definitely paid more.

Hummm... if it's a bucker, it shouldn't hum. UPDATE: I just sat in front of my amp and now it does not hum in any variation. (who knows?) ...damn this is a nice bass! Dave scored! I felt the same way when I saw my '66 P at the same shop 10yrs ago... I was first attracted/drawn to it visually, and then when I played it I knew I had to buy it. So Mr Dave was lucky as my hollow-body 'GAS' was already satisfied - after cleaning it up, adjusting it and playing it here at Geo-Central on my killer rig (at the shop they just plugged it into the closest amp there) ... man-o-man...

My parents had a home in Tahoe City for 35 years. After 4 bear break-ins, they sold.

Sorry, that wouldn't be me to do this. But since my last post, I did more investigation on the initial 'hum' because I was curious. Directly in front of my amp - no hum, but 6' away - hum. I'm using a long 20' cord, so maybe that has something to do with it. I'm going to assume the work done on it was 100% legit/correct, so it must be something within my four walls - as in.., no hum.
