Interested in your take on them, Jeff. I don't need another set of flats. But....

Kinda the same ole broken record.
They are the closest string to sound like rounds.
They don't eat frets, And they last, for me anyway.
And depending on break in time, they don't go totally dead.
And i use their lightest gauge Donnie 40-95.
It's that, ymmv thing.

Interesting. The ChinaBucker looks very similar to the Gibson pickup on the back plate, nothing like the Epiphone ProBucker. I'm still surprised that Gibson didn't stamp their name in the plate like Eppi did, seems ripe for counterfeiting. Other thing that surprises me is nowhere on the Gibby pup does it say made in the USA (or anywhere else for that matter) but it does imply USA mfg on the box.

Any idea what the resistance value of the ChinaBucker is? I know they make both a neck and bridge pickup with different resistances.

I thought the same thing but thought I was overseeing things. They certainly do have some similarities--more so than the Epi. A quick glance and you might think Gibson is using the ChinaBucker or having them make them. I'm sure that's not the case.

Hate to admit it, but I was trying to catch up before getting back to work and actually thought those were SITs. No coffee yet and storms last night messing with my already messed up sleeping I guess.

I actually loved the sound of those. I just can't play them at home. Live I don't recall noticing it, but just sitting around the house I do. Not as much going on maybe.

I have two sets of the 2815, and some D'Addario chromes in that light 40-95 gauge. If you are interested and will take all three I'll send them to you for $60 plus shipping if you want them. I'll never likely use that light of a set of anything on anything.

As much as i love Chromes, to high a tension for me.

I like the Dunlop inset strap-peg port. Use it myself - just don't forget your Dunlop Strap-Lok equipped strap!

To me the coolest thing about that Chip is the TSSOP to 16 pin DIP adapter.

I have Loxx on almost everything these days. Same idea. There are a handful that just have strap buttons. The EB-2 is the last one that still has Dunlops.
