Were the commute not so brutal, I'd offer up the house in Pine Mountain Club for a very reasonable charge. It's about 65 miles, but the traffic is killer. The commute into Burbank can be anywhere from 75 minutes to three hours, depending on the time of day.

He's best off looking for a room to rent in Burbank, Glendale, or Eagle Rock. The Los Filez area, near the Greek Theater, is a possibility. Echo Park/Angelino Heights (the neighborhoods surrounding Dodger Stadium), are also possibilities for rooms to rent and close to Burbank. And there is Silver Lake, where my favorite band used to call home.

Totally forgot about that... got , i think .110 Fender or GHS set from friend... But considering even that I work woth these wires 8 hours a day during car seat base plastic injecting manufacture, i think about refusing just due the principle, lol... Should be great for pick and hard play but i love tocplay both, fingers and pick and i LOVE sliding on the neck whole the time, so not sure if grippiness of stainess is ideal :)

I play with pick and fingers. Slides are one of the reasons I went to EBCFs. Pyramid Golds feel even better but weren't quite the tone I was after. Others love them.

We have a local family owned place we frequent. Make their own pasta in house, wood-fired pizza's, etc. My wife says it is incredibly close to what her Italian Nonnie used to make. We are doing our part to keep this place open!

Our favorite place used to be a family owned place in Whittier. It was always packed. The food was fantastic. We used their catering service all the time for events at my in-laws' place. The patriarch passed away and the "kids" decided to "upgrade" and go in a different direction. Wagu beef, more exoctic entrees, that sort of thing. I'll be damned if I'll pay a $100 a person or more for dinner there. I'll give 'em another year. Maybe two. If they don't fix things, they'll close. In the meantime, they're dead to me.

Sure. I got to where I could slide on Roto 66s, but I had to make sure and keep the callouses up or I either got blisters or I bled. Not being a Beatle, I found that annoying. Since I sometimes have to go a few days without playing bass, not rubbing serrated edges across my fingers felt like a win. Plus, I prefer the tone. 8^)
