can't stand working on today's combos….they are literally meant to be replaceable…..I tell my customers to take stuff apart before bringing to me as I don't feel comfortable charging them my hourly rate to remove screws…..

I picked up the Peavey Foundation last night. Chuck gave it a thumbs up from a player perspective; however, seeing it in the daylight leaves a lot to be desired. The neck is great, but the body has a lot of scratches and chips.

So, I think this will be my first refinishing project. It's not worth spending money to send it to a pro, so I am going to give it a try myself. Step one will be to strip off the black poly. Any suggestions on the best way (read easy way) to do that? I do have a heat gun if that and a scraper is the way to go. Not sure paint strippers work great on poly.

I read the review on this one and it brought to mind a recent(8-900 pages back)post that stated that Pelham Blue as it ages-amber-gets green-er[blue + yellow=green-ish]. So if an Inverness Green ages/ambers, does it become chartreuse?

Annemarie, she's very German. Born there in '32, lived through WWII and came to rural Northeastern Washington in '52.

Does that qualify as a PCB or an eyelet board? Given the 1965 serial number but late 1964 parts, just curious if the board is also the 64 design.
