I'd consume Geo. And check out Guitar ReRanch ~ Guitar Refinishing ProductsI picked up the Peavey Foundation last night. Chuck gave it a thumbs up from a player perspective; however, seeing it in the daylight leaves a lot to be desired. The neck is great, but the body has a lot of scratches and chips.
So, I think this will be my first refinishing project. It's not worth spending money to send it to a pro, so I am going to give it a try myself. Step one will be to strip off the black poly. Any suggestions on the best way (read easy way) to do that? I do have a heat gun if that and a scraper is the way to go. Not sure paint strippers work great on poly.
